Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
After-the-fact funding is when a club commits to a purchase before being allocated funds through the SGA funding process OR after being approved for funding, but outside of the fiscal year, the funding was approved for. Unfortunately, if your club falls in either category, we cannot approve after-the-fact funding.
The only time we do accept after the fact funding as stated in Article 3 subsection B. "After-the-fact funding may be considered only in the event the campus closes when: 1) the closure is for a day when a BAC or Senate meeting is scheduled; and 2) the funding proposal was scheduled to be considered at said meeting."
Your club will be able to request funding as many times in the fiscal year as needed. We limit the amount clubs can requesting funding to a total of $4,000 in said fiscal year.
BAC meetings are set to meet every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. If you would like to have your funding proposal, be heard at the next Tuesday meeting, please submit your funding proposal by the Wednesday before at 6:00 p.m. Please also consider, the director of finance is also a student and may not see your proposal after 6 p.m.
No, the University is tax-exempt! Although if you base your purchase on a sale item, please calculate the total request based on the mark-up price in case the purchase is made after a sale period.
