Legislative Branch - The Senate
We are the Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch (also known as The Senate) is comprised of 19 Senators! 7 are represenative of Colleges and Schools, 5 are specialized Senators, and the last 7 are Senators at Large. The Senate represents the electorate in all dealings directly related to SGA business or in which representation is requested. Through bills, resolutions, and other legislation we allocate funds and create change to positively impact that campus and represent the student body!
Vacant Positon
Speaker of the SenateThe Senate Speaker runs the SGA's Legislative Branch. As Speaker, you organize and lead Senate Meetings, which includes inviting guest speakers, as well as, writing the agendas. Outside of meetings, the Speaker collaborates with other Senators to make sure the Senate has a direction and is useful for the betterment of campus for students. The Senate passes bills and resolutions, confirms appointments to SGA, and works independently or on university committees to improve the campus experience.

The Senate meets weekly on Thursday's at 7:30 PM in UC 303! Our meetings are open to the public and we encourage all students to come and talk to us! Come anytime! If you have any questions reach out below!
Meeting Agendas

Meeting Minutes
