What is your name and the position for which you are running?
My name is Cienna Daniels and I am running for the Senator for the College of Business.
What is your academic major/educational track?
I am working on my Bachelor's in Business Administration and Pre-Law.
Why are you running for this position in the Student Government Association?
I am running for this position in the Student Government Association because this position would help me learn how to advocate for others and myself more professionally.
What past experiences would make you a great candidate for the Student Government Association?
In high school, I had to advocate for myself to earn my associate's degree from Adams State University two weeks before graduating. The administration and some teachers were not helpful, making the process more challenging. I had to go above and beyond to ensure that my tuition paid for and that my books got the grades I deserved.
What are some of your hobbies/interests and how are you involved at UCCS?
I am starting an online jewelry business by selling rings (particularly turquoise and coral rings) and establishing my LLC. I enjoy traveling and ATV riding when not working on college courses or starting my business. I am involved at UCCS by taking classes with the College of Business and the honors program, which involves classes, discussions, and engagement events. I plan to get a job from the Scribe, and I will find out on the 10th of this month if I get it.
