What is your academic major/educational track?

My academic major is political science and philosophy. I chose this dual major because I think it is the best foundation educationally for a career in law.

Why are you running for this position in the Student Government Association?

I am running for this position in the Student Government Association because of the importance of cultivating all aspects of an educational environment, and my belief that through investment in a community’s education the benefits of that community will be allocated to the greatest extent possible!

What past experiences would make you a great candidate for the Student Government Association?

My experience as a volunteer at Teen Court, now Forge Evolution has prepared me not only to be a prompt, decisive and collaborative committee member, but it also engendered me with the knowledge and zeal of public service. I am heartened and encouraged by the opportunity to work with diverse perspectives toward a single end of public good.

What are some of your hobbies/interests and how are you involved at UCCS?

My hobbies and interests are learning about politics, history, philosophy, playing music, doing theater, horseback riding and having educated discussions. As a freshman I am looking for ways to be involved in the community at UCCS and I think a position as senator would allow me to create the most tangible impact on campus!
