Why are you running for this position in the Student Government Association?

  • I believe I have knowledge and determination to bring new sustainable practices to our campus. I have deep rooted passion for finding new ways to make things more efficient and environmentally friendly. I think that this position will help motivate me to push above and beyond my natural determination to help others.

What past experiences would make you a great candidate for the Student Government Association?

  • From November 2021- December 2022 I served as UCCS’ Inter-Fraternal Council President. During that time I was able to rewrite and create over 30 pages of bylaws to provide the foundation for a sustainable council that was once deteriorating. I am currently serving as our VP of Judicial Affairs as I have the best knowledge of our Constitution and Bylaws allowing me to maintain the longevity of the organization I have created. I have experience with grant and patent writing that may be unique to applicants as we may come across opportunities to control intellectual property or ask for seed investments for new sustainable practices here at UCCS.

What are some of your hobbies/interests and how are you involved at UCCS?

  • I love to play soccer, snowboard, hike, workout. During the winter I tend to stay indoors and cook or host little get togethers with friends. I am a part of Pi Kappa Phi, a fraternity here at UCCS, requiring me to have 20 hours of philanthropic work each semester. Most of these hours are done on campus through events that raise money for our philanthropy. Since I am also on our IFC Council I have created, participated in, and even started traditional events throughout my 3 years here at UCCS. Most of the events I have planned and organized have had a couple hundred attendants including staff and even our Chancellor.
