Why are you running for this position in the Student Government Association?
  • I am running for the Director of Finance role because I understand its responsibilities comprehensively, mainly due to my extensive three-year involvement in UCCS Student Government. This tenure has provided me with a holistic understanding of the intricacies and demands of this position. Notably, my active participation in the Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) has equipped me with a nuanced grasp of the financial oversight required, reinforcing my readiness for this role. Moreover, my leadership within clubs has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the funding processes and their vital role in sustaining these organizations. I understand firsthand the significance of financial support for clubs and its impact on their activities. This direct involvement has offered me a pragmatic perspective on allocating resources and the importance of fair and strategic financial distribution. My intention to run for this position underscores my dedication and long-term commitment to contributing positively to the Student Government's financial leadership. What are some of your hobbies/interests and how are you involved at UCCS?
  • Some of my interests are local government, horror movies, and education! At UCCS, I am a student mentor for the Office of Inclusive Services, a GPS peer leader, the student Director of Finance, a Peer Health Educator, a member of the Budget Advisory Committee, and a member of the Rules and Organizations Committee.
